About the artist
I grew up in the 1960’s in Ashland, Wisconsin.
Many of my watercolors reflect those early north woods influences.
My favorite references are rusted vehicles, neon signs and retro odds and ends.
My support network includes:
~ my teacher, Carol Fink Sackschewsky, who taught me to appreciate ‘happy accidents’
~ my teacher, Tom James, whose patient encouragement keeps
me on track when I’d rather become distracted
~ my husband, John, who inspires me with his creativity and who
has taught me how to have the courage to take a risk
~ my daughter, Audrey, who keeps me stylish and motivates me with her passion for life
~ my son, Andy, who makes me laugh every day and who reminded me that making artwork is fun
~ and, last but not least, God, who first separated the light from the darkness (Genesis 1:4)
and who has blessed me with a creative heart.
'Every minute, every moment
Where I've been or where I'm going
Even when I didn't know it
Or couldn't see it
There was Jesus'
